For the last 100 years Forest Town Academy has been the centre of the local community in many different ways. Formerly catering to the needs of the local mining and colliery community, Forest Town Academy now boasts expansions and developments that have provided facilities to cater for conferences, sporting events, various types of entertainment and social activities, including:
